Children and teachers from the Harriet Tubman public elementary school in Washington D.C., emotionally welcomed officials from the Cuban Embassy in that capital.
During the exchange, the children were able to learn about the history of the island, historical places, the main achievements of the Revolution in the health, education and sports sectors, as well as the bilateral relations between Cuba and the United States.
Between photos and participation games, the children took an imaginary trip to the nation of classic cars, impressive buildings and beautiful beaches.
The children's curiosity led to a round of questions to learn more about the characteristics of the Caribbean nation.
Cuban flags accompanied the conversation, which is part of the Adopt an Embassy educational program carried out by the District of Columbia Public Schools Association and the Washington D.C. Performing Arts Institute.
