Havana, January 21-The director general of Consular Affairs and Cubans Residing Abroad at the Foreign Ministry, Ernesto Soberón, announced that people in more than 140 countries will be able to participate in the debate on the legal text by sending opinions to the Nation and Emigration website.
In a live broadcast on Facebook, the diplomatic source specified that a similar experience occurred during the debate of the current Constitution of the Republic, approved in April 2019.
On that occasion, opinions were received digitally from more than 120 countries, 40 percent of which were included in the final text, Soberón noted.
Between February and April this year, Cuba will submit to popular consultation the draft of a new Code with the purpose of adapting the country's current legal framework to the social realities of this population group.
The regulations will include issues such as the flow of travelers and the transnationality of the Cuban family.
