Nicosia, April 4, 2023 - The Commissioner for the Environment of Cyprus, Mrs. Maria Panayiotou received at the headquarters of said institution the Ambassador of Cuba, Angel Gustavo Suárez Cordero on a courtesy visit.
During the friendly meeting, both highlighted the coincidences in the environmental challenges of their respective countries. At the same time, they exchanged on the problems the world is facing today and how the environment is the main axis. They exchanged on ideas of collaboration through events and activities regarding the environment that can strengthen the relationship of the two islands.
The Cuban Ambassador presented to the Cypriot Commissioner the Cuban State's plan for the preservation of the environment known as "Task Life".
Both showed interest in continuing to cooperate in order to further exchange experiences on these core issues and on which both countries are facing common challenges (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
