Commitment and solidarity with Cuba among nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis

Basseterre, October 4, 2024- Commitment, love, solidarity and gratitude were among the most heard words this Thursday night, during a meeting of the associations that make up the solidarity movement with Cuba in St. Kitts and Nevis, to exchange with the official of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Tamara Armenteros Alcee, who has been in this Federation completing a tight work schedule.

During the meeting, the willingness to work together to promote peace, friendship and solidarity was ratified by both peoples, linked by a historical relationship. The unjust US blockade and the arbitrary inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, created with the purpose of worsening the economic asphyxiation to which we have been subjected for more than 60 years, were condemned.

A space of special significance was dedicated to Cuba's recognition of the tireless support work carried out by these organizations during the last three decades. The moment was favorable for the delivery of the ICAP 60th Anniversary Medal, a distinction that encloses the gratitude of our people for so many expressions of love received.

Telca Wallece, representing the solidarity movement, expressed to those present that receiving such a distinction commits them even more to work for Cuba and its people, like any worthy Cuban who honors and wants the best for his Homeland.
