Dublin, June 11, 2024. On the visit to the headquarters of the Communist Party of Ireland, the European director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Rigoberto Zarza Ross was received by the Secretary General, Jimmy Corcoran and other comrades from the national leadership of the party group. During the fraternal meeting, both parties exchanged their respective national realities and the international situation.
The ICAP director, accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, explained the negative impact that the reinforced economic, commercial and financial blockade practiced by the United States against Cuba has had on all areas of the life of the Cuban people. Likewise, the damage caused by keeping your country on the US State Department's List of countries that sponsor terrorism. He also denounced the campaigns aimed at destabilizing the country.
The representatives of the Communist Party, for their part, denounced the blockade and demanded the exclusion of Cuba from the aforementioned List. They also expressed their unequivocal support for the Revolution and the Cuban people, in their battle in defence of the sovereignty and independence of the Greater Antilles. They also highlighted the example of social justice and dignity that the Caribbean nation represents for the world.
As befits their relations of brotherhood and solidarity, the meeting took place in a fraternal atmosphere.
