Kingstown, February 2, 2026- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, delivered a special presentation on Cuba to students of the Girls High School of this sister nation, as part of the cultural and educational exchange actions promoted by the Cuban diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, attended by 120 students, the diplomat made a broad and comprehensive tour of the main features of the Cuban nation, addressing issues related to history, culture, politics, economy, art, religion and gastronomy, among other distinctive aspects of national identity.
The presentation allowed students to learn about essential elements of the historical formation of Cuba, its cultural diversity, its traditions and artistic expressions, as well as particularities of its social and economic system. The richness of Cuban cuisine and the coexistence of different religious beliefs were also highlighted as part of the country’s cultural framework.
The exchange took place in a participatory environment, arousing the interest of the young women, who made questions and comments about the Cuban reality and the historical and cultural links between Cuba and the Caribbean.
This activity is part of the efforts of the Embassy of Cuba to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation with educational institutions in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as to promote knowledge and mutual understanding among the peoples of the Caribbean (Embassy of Cuba to St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
