London, January 6, 2025 - The Cuban Embassy in the United Kingdom deeply appreciates the congratulatory message sent by the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) (CPGB-ML) on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, celebrated on January 1, 2025.
In its message, the CPGB-ML expresses its strong support for the Cuban people in their struggle against the US government's efforts to stifle the Cuban Revolution through the economic blockade, which aims to impoverish and subjugate the Cuban people. The party congratulates Cuba for its courage and constant struggle, and stresses the socialist example it represents, a beacon of hope for all Latin America and for the peoples oppressed by imperialism.
The CPGB-ML stresses that, in the face of the desperate efforts of the US imperialists to eradicate the Cuban Revolution, international solidarity is more necessary than ever. They reiterate the need for workers around the world to unite in defence of Cuba and demand the suspension of the genocidal and criminal sanctions imposed by the US. This support is essential to ensure that Cuba remains a symbol of struggle for social justice and peoples' self-determination, and continues to occupy a place at the forefront of humanity.
The CPGB-ML also calls on workers in the Western world to join Cuba's struggle for a world free of wage slavery, exploitation, racism and war. At a time when imperialist threats are more intense, the party stresses the importance of recognising Cuba's socialist sovereignty and fighting for world peace.
Finally, the CPGB-ML reaffirms its commitment to the Cuban Revolution and sends to the Cuban people its best wishes of struggle and solidarity.
