Pretoria, December 18, 2025.- The Cuban Embassy in South Africa held a productive virtual meeting with members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, FOCUS, in Cape Town, in which they discussed the main activities to be carried out during the coming year, especially the commemoration of the centenary of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
Cuban Ambassador Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo especially thanked this chapter of FOCUS for its unwavering solidarity, particularly during 2025, when actions in solidarity with Cuba and condemnation of the blockade against the island were quite frequent.
The ambassador was accompanied by the official in charge of press and cultural affairs, Diplomatic Attaché Lauren Luis Acosta.
