Havana, July 14, 2025. – This Monday and Tuesday, deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) will debate various topics related to the country's political, economic, and social affairs in the standing committees.
Prior to the Fifth Ordinary Session of the 10th Legislature, deputies will be briefed on:
The progress of the Economy Plan during the first half of 2025 and proposed actions to conclude the year.
The settlement of the 2024 State Budget, its execution to date, and the estimated closing figures for the current year.
During two intensive sessions, matters to be analyzed include:
The implementation of the Digital Transformation Policy.
Protection for vulnerable persons, families, households, and communities.
Updates to the National Program for the Advancement of Women.
Other vital agenda items include:
Local production of construction materials and its impact on the housing program.
The country's hygienic-sanitary situation.
Primary healthcare.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines will report on actions to restore the National Electrical System, included in the Government Program.
At the Fifth Ordinary Session, convened for July 16th, the Prime Minister will present a report on the objectives and goals of the Government Program aimed at correcting distortions and boosting the economy. He will also submit several draft laws for approval, in accordance with the legislative schedule.
