Canberra, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) The National Baseball Federations of Cuba and Australia signed a cooperation agreement today aimed at strengthening their preparation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
The agreement, signed at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission by Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez and the CEO of the League and the Australian Federation of that sport, Glenn Williams, is an important step in the objective of strengthening sports ties between the two countries, particularly in this discipline.
Among other actions, the agreement includes the realization of sporting events, cooperation between the national teams of both countries, possibilities of joint training, participation in events, and other topics of interest, such as collaboration in this sport with a view to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
During the ceremony, both parties ratified the will to achieve an effective implementation of the agreement, to benefit the development of baseball in both countries.
Cuba has a long tradition and earned prestige in different competitions in this sport, while Australia has been growing and gaining a more relevant place in recent times, they agreed.
According to what the Cuban ambassador told Prensa Latina, these instruments are very useful to create synergies between both nations and develop cooperation in an area such as sports, particularly baseball, in which there are common interests and many challenges given different international events, particularly Brisbane 2032.
