Cuba and countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean committed to boosting bilateral relations.

Dominica, Roseau, September 8, 2016. The Ambassador of Cuba in Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta held a working meeting with the Head of the Business Unit Competitive the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) based in the capital, Mr. Marlon Marie, as well as other officials of the organization.

During the meeting, the ambassador Frómeta and Mr Marie with his team exchanged about business opportunities between Cuba and members of the OECS; in this regard evaluated existing in the areas of Cuban biotechnology products potential, agriculture, telecommunications, human resources development, among others. The OECS is organizing a delegation with representatives of various companies from member countries participating in the International Fair of Havana FIHAV 2016. At this point Mr Marie said that during the FIHAV OECS will have a booth where producers they will exhibit their productions, along with other Caribbean countries. Similarly, a business mission for the coming months which will continue to deepen the study on the possibilities of joint ventures are prepared.

Mr. Marie thanked the working session and the opportunity to strengthen trade and business relations with Cuba, which undoubtedly, if achieved, complementary close existing history between our countries. For his part, Ambassador Frómeta ratified the political will of the government and Cuban people to continue deepening the historical relations between Cuba and the Caribbean.
