Cuba and Eswatini evaluate cooperation agreements in education

Mbabane, November 28, 2018.- In a meeting held by the Cuban Ambassador in the Kingdom of Eswatini, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, with the recently appointed new Minister of Education of that country, Lady Howard Mabuza and the Principal Secretary of the Swazi Ministry of Education, Dr. Sibongile Mtshali, both parties agreed in the interest of strengthening bilateral relations of cooperation in the education sector.

The Swazi officials appreciated the detailed information that was presented to them by the Cuban side about the Cuban education system and emphasized their interest in applying in Eswatini the successful experiences of the Island in educational matters, recognized worldwide.

Likewise, both parties agreed on the convenience of concluding a bilateral cooperation agreement in this area.
The Cuban Ambassador extended an invitation to the minister to participate with a delegation of Eswatini in the Congress, Pedagogy 2019, which will be held in Cuba in February, which was appreciated by the Swazi official.
