Tehran, January 6, 2021. Mr. Alireza Izadi, Director General of the Office of the Minister and International Affairs of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, received this morning the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy from Cuba, Counselor Tania Causse Rodríguez, with whom he held a fruitful exchange aimed at the common interest of expanding and strengthening cultural ties between both countries as well as developing relations in the tourism sector.
The Third Secretary Junior Peñalver, in charge, among other tasks, of Cultural Affairs of the Cuban embassy in Tehran and Mrs. Sara Naghdi, specialist in International Relations of that ministry, were also present at the meeting.
Cuba and Iran maintain fraternal relations since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and both nations boast a rich cultural heritage that arouses great interest among their nationals. During the meeting, several areas of cooperation were identified, for which we predict a promising future.
