Tehran, September 16, 2020. Tania Causse, First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Iran in charge of political, commercial and cooperation affairs, was received at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic by Mr. Farhad Goharzad, Head of the Department of International Affairs and Professional Organizations of that institution, who was accompanied by a group of specialists and managers linked to the areas of cooperation.
During the meeting, the action plans were updated to give continuity to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ministries of both nations, as well as the most recent instrument initialed in the framework of the XVII Session of the Cuba-Iran Intergovernmental Commission between the Directorate of Plant Health of Cuba and the Organization for the Protection of Plants Iran.
The parties agreed on the need to strengthen their ties in the face of a post-pandemic stage in which agriculture will play a leading role in guaranteeing the recovery and general well-being of nations.
