Cuba and Latvia for a closer relationship from Finland

Helsinki, April 14, 2022.- About the interest in strengthening relations between Cuba and Latvia, spoke on Thursday the Ambassador of the Baltic country, H.E., Mrs. Kristīne Našeniece, and her Caribbean counterpart, Beatriz Parra González, both accredited in Finland, during a courtesy meeting held in this capital.

At the end of this meeting, the Cuban Ambassador highlighted on Twitter: "We have had an excellent exchange and approach to one of our concurrences. We thank Kristīne for her warm welcome, which we know is only the beginning of a closer relationship between #Cuba and Latvia" .

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat highlighted issues of the national reality of her country, and limited what is related to the impact of the US blockade on the national economy and the life of the Cuban people. For her part, the Latvian diplomat pointed out multiple cultural topics of interest that her Embassy in Finland has been developing. Both authorities agreed on the importance of increasing cultural ties as a single channel of communication between the two countries.

The diplomatic mission of Cuba in Finland is in charge of attending to its concurrences in the three Baltic countries, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
