CUBA AND SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES CONTINUE TO WORK FOR THE WIDENING OF ECONOMIC-COMMERCIAL AND COOPERATION RELATIONS

A Cuban business delegation, headed by Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Vice President of the Superior Organization of Business Direction GEDIC, and integrated by Rubí Despaine Benítez President of UNECA and Pedro Hernández Achong, Director of IMECO Company, visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines between 18 and 20 July 2019.

During the first day of their official program, the directors were received by Prime Minister Ralph E. Gonsalves, occasion in which a fraternal and emotional exchange took place within the framework of the excellent bilateral relations existing between the two countries and the traditional cooperation that  links of the two Caribbean nations.

Within the framework of an intense work agenda, the Cuban delegation met with Senator Hon. Julian Francis, Minister of Transport, Public Works, Urban Development and Local Government; with Mr. Hudson Nedd, Permanent Secretary of that Ministry; Mrs. Annette Mark, Executive Director of Invest SVG and member  of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Mr. Edmond Jackson, Director General of Finance and Planning, Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development and Information Technology and Mrs. Sandy Peters Philips, Permanent Secretary of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce.

The Cuban businessmen also visited several economic objectives and construction works.

Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are two southern looking nations, aware of the importance of integrating their mutual complementarities for the purposes of technical, economic, commercial and social development.
