Riga, May 19, 2023.- As part of her activities in Riga, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, was received by H.E. Mr. Andžejs Viļumsons, Under-Secretary of State and Political Director of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the exchange, the Ambassador referred to Cuban news and the impact of the US blockade on the daily life of the people, at which time she thanked Latvia for its support of Cuba against the US embargo, as a Member State of the European Union. Both authorities also addressed issues of mutual interest.
Present at this meeting were H.E. Ms. Sanita Pavļuta-Deslande, Ambassador for Global and Multilateral Affairs of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Gundega Pumpure, Counselor of the Americas and Caribbean Division of this ministry.
