Officials of the Cuban Embassy participated in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Seychelles.
After the emotional words of the Russian Ambassador Artyom Khozhin, the participants paid tribute to the fallen with wreaths that were placed in front of the Memorial dedicated to the fallen combatants of the First and Second World War, at the Mont Flourie Cemetery in the city of Victoria.
The celebration was attended by Seychelles government and foreign ministry officials, members of the Seychelles-Russia Friendship Association, members of the diplomatic corps and a representation of the Russian community in Seychelles.
The Soviet people lost 27 million lives in their struggle against fascism and were decisive in the defeat of the Nazi regime. Their contribution to humanity in the liberation from fascism is invaluable.
