London, September 26, 2018 - The Cuban Embassy had the pleasure of attending the awards ceremony for the British Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC). This annual event brings together leading representatives of the UK agri-food sector, importers, distributors, and key industry players. The First Secretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs, Soima Méndez Lazo, participated on behalf of the Cuban Embassy.
Cuba's presence at this high-level event responded to the interest in strengthening economic and commercial ties between Cuba and the United Kingdom, particularly in the field of agriculture. Experiences in the fresh food trade were exchanged, and opportunities for cooperation in sustainable value chains were explored.
