Havana, March 2019. Received by Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, the Hon. Mr. Finian McGrath, Minster of State, ratified the good state of the bilateral relations between Ireland and Cuba, which commemorate its 20th anniversary this year.
Mr. McGrath was also received by Cuban Minister of Health José Angel Portal Miranda, where they exchanged experiences on the functioning of both health systems and evaluated possible cooperation issues between the two countries.
Minister McGrath, with special responsibilities for people with disabilities, in his extensive program held in Havana, had the opportunity to visit the School "Solidarity with Panama", where he could exchange with teachers and children with physical and intellectual disabilities who are treated in this specialized and well and recognized center.
The “Palacio del Segundo Cabo”, located in the Historic Center of Havana, which celebrates its 500th Anniversary, hosted the first reception of St. Patrick's Day held in the Cuban capital, which was attended by Minister Dr. Portal Miranda, The Historian of Havana Dr. Eusebio Leal, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Teresita González and the Ambassador of Ireland Barbara Jones, among other Cuban and Irish personalities and descendants living in Cuba.
Undoubtedly, two island and nations that ratify the excellent state of bilateral relations.
