Havana, July 15, 2023.- The Run for Nelson Mandela took place today in Havana, as part of the activities to honor the figure of Nelson Mandela on the 105 anniversary of his birth.
The event was organized by the Cuban National Institute of Sports and Recreation (INDER) and the deputy minister of Sport, Arts and Culture of South Africa, Nocawe Noncedo Mafu, who is visiting the island, was present.
Runners from Cuba and South Africa and members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Cuba were united there to pay tribute to the great African leader, who always fought for the freedom and independence of the peoples.
