Cuba continues to strengthen ties with Cubans living abroad.

During a meeting held at the Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C., Cubans living in the United States shared concerns and proposals to further strengthen ties with their nation.

The exchange was an extension of the recent dialogues that took place in Havana during the conference "The Nation and Emigration".

Those present called for the unity of the Cuban community living in the United States to fight for the development of the Caribbean nation, the elimination of the blockade and its removal from the terrorist list, taking into account the damage this represents for families.

Family values, love, culture and traditions are some of the bonds that unite us and for which we must fight to maintain and strengthen, the participants pointed out.

To participate, even more, in the economic and social life of the land where they were born, is the interest of all those who today, despite the physical distance, propose to create bridges and not barriers.
