Cuba expresses condolences on the death of the President of the European Parliament

Havana, January 11th.- The president of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernández, transferred Hon. Ms. Roberta Metsola, Vice-President of the European Parliament, on behalf of the Cuban deputies, deep condolences for the sudden death in office of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli.

“This sad news fills the world parliamentary community, and especially that of Europe, with mourning for the loss of an official who dedicated his life to parliamentary work and promoting the links of the European Parliament with other parliaments around the world. I take this opportunity to send our condolences to his family and closest friends ”.
