This Wednesday held the first Business Forum, “Cubanos TIC”, an event organized by the Ministry of Communications (Mincom) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (Minrex). The forum, which was held through the TrueConf platform, brought together 172 participants from more than 30 countries to promote the exchange of experiences and initiatives in digital transformation.
Ana Teresita González, director of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Residing Abroad of the Minrex, highlighted the importance of this meeting, which is part of the commitments acquired in the IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration” held last year. “This forum is an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties from the academic, research, collaboration, and business point of view,” Gonzalez said. He also underscored the negative impact of the U.S. economic blockade, which in the last year has generated losses of over 58 million dollars in the communications sector.
