Cuba hosts today the LXI ordinary session of the Board of Experts of the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade) that will address issues on gender and energy, methane observatory, critical minerals and new generation fuels.
In a press release, the Cuban Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) adds that during the meeting, until the 13th, regional gas integration will also be analyzed and new proposals will be presented for the LIV Meeting of Energy Ministers of Latin America and the Caribbean to be held in October in Paraguay.
This Board of Experts, according to the text, is the first session for the LIV Meeting of Energy Ministers of Latin America and the Caribbean and is coordinated by the Minem and supported by the European Union (EU).
It is supported by the EU-Cuba Project for the Exchange of Experiences for the promotion of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.
This project is focused on supporting the energy transition in Cuba with emphasis on the regulatory framework and access to investment, and is financed by the EU and implemented by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policies.
The meeting will also include the XVII Working Meeting of Advisors of the Energy Information System for Latin America and the Caribbean, whose objective is to consolidate the processes and methodologies applied in the management and administration of statistical energy information.
