Cuba is loved in Lesotho

Maseru, 14 June 2025.- Officials from the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, who are visiting Lesotho, held important meetings with members of the Cuban medical brigade in the kingdom and with a representation of graduates who studied in Cuba, in the framework of the commemoration of the 46th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The meeting with the medical brigade was attended by the seven members who make up the brigade, who have been providing their services in the country satisfactorily since the end of 2024. They were updated on the national events of their homeland and the good work they have done in recent months was recognised, because they are holding high the name of Cuba thousands of miles from home.

An exchange was also organised with a group of Basotho graduates in Cuba, who remember their time on the island with joy and nostalgia and affirm that Cuba will never leave their hearts, having trained them as professionals in different fields.

Both meetings highlighted the greatness of the Cuban Revolution, its health and education systems, and its noble internationalist work, sending doctors to countries in need and contributing to the training of their professionals.
