Ekurhuleni, December 12, 2024 - A representation of the Cuban embassy in South Africa attended the day's sessions of the Fifth Special National Congress of the South African Communist Party (SACP), which started last Wednesday and will work until Friday, December 13.
The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban mission, Bryan Betancourt Brito, intervened during the international messages, where representatives of Venezuela, Palestine, Nicaragua, the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic and other nations took the floor. In his speech, the Cuban diplomat referred to the resilience of the Cuban people, who have endured the criminal blockade of the United States for more than 60 years and in spite of this, we have continued defending our conquests and our Revolution.
At the same time, he thanked the solidarity of South Africa and its people, especially the comrades from the Communist Party, who have maintained their unwavering support for Cuba.
