Ekurhuleni, July 18, 2023.- The Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Pretoria, Bryan Betancourt Brito, heads the Cuban delegation that participates in the BRICS Political Parties Plus Dialogue, organized by the African National Congress (ANC), with South Africa being chair of the BRICS.
For three days, political parties from BRICS member countries together with more than 40 delegations from different parts of the world will hold strong debates on the need for a new, more just and equitable international order, the strengthening of unity among the countries of the South and other issues on the multilateral agenda.
The event was inaugurated by the deputy president of the Republic of South Africa and the ANC, Paul Mashatile, who highlighted in his speech the importance of holding this type of meeting, which allows the union of progressive forces in the world for the benefit of our peoples.
The Diplomatic Attaché Lauren Luis and other officials from the Embassy were also part of the Cuban delegation.
