Cuba participates in INTERSPUTNIK's joint 46th session of the Board and 21st session of the Operations Committee.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. June 21, 2018. Between June 19 and 21, the 46th Session of the Directing Board and the 21st Joint Meeting of the Operations Committee of the INTERSPUTNIK Organization met in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. Cuba is a founding member of this organization which was created in November of 1971 by disposition of Resolution 1721 (XVI) of the General Assembly of the United Nations. INTERSPUTNIK is an open organization and its international satellite communications system was created and operates in accordance with the provisions contained in said resolution.

At the annual meeting of the organization, the member states and the members of the Board of Directors and its Operations Committee participate with the purpose of regulating, analyzing and developing the programs of the Intersputnik International Satellite Telecommunications System. Our country is represented on the board of directors by ETECSA, since 2005, who participates as a signatory of Cuba for this organization.

The engineers Arnaldo Naranjo Pino and Jose Antonio Cabrera Fraga, Head of the Operations Group of the Caribbean International Telecommunications Center and Main Specialist of the International Telecommunications Center of Cojímar respectively, together with the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, participated in the different sessions of the event and held meetings with Mr. Vadim Belov, Director General of the Organization and his Executive Director Mr. V. Veshchunov. The Communications and Information Technology Authority of the Government of Mongolia welcomed the development of this event with excellent organization during the three days of work sessions.
