Cuba participates in the Latin American and Caribbean Cultural Festival in Qatar.

(Doha, April 27, 2025) – The Cuban Embassy in Qatar, in coordination with the Katara Cultural Foundation and within the framework of the Latin American and Caribbean Cultural Festival, organized the island's participation in this important event, which will take place from April 26 to 30, 2025.
Katara's Deputy Director General, Saif Saad Al Dosari, heads of accredited Diplomatic Missions, members of the Latin American and Caribbean community, and the Qatari public attended the festival's opening ceremony, which included an exhibition of visual arts from our region.
The Cuban art exhibition included works by painters Eberto Escobedo, Amelia Peláez, Cesar Leal, and Lester Campa, and photography by artists Denys San Jorge and Sonia Almaguer, as well as a porcelain piece by Qatari artist Maria Al-Bader, inspired by Havana.

The executive director of the Katara Center for Public Diplomacy, Maryam Al Saad, emphasized that this festival is an extraordinary event that offers Qataris the opportunity to explore geographically distant but closely connected cultures on a human level.
To close the festival, a concert by the Cuban musical group 2 D'Cuba will take place at the Drama Theater on April 30.
