Cuba Present at the 4th Qatar Travel Mart 2025

(Doha, November 27, 2025) – With a simple yet attractive stand showcasing the island's attributes, Cuba participated in the 4th Qatar Travel Mart, the international travel and tourism fair of this Gulf Arab country, which was open from November 24 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.

The stand of the largest of the Antilles was inaugurated with the presence of Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority, and Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Businessmen's Association, who expressed their satisfaction with Cuba's participation in the event and their interest in developing bilateral ties in the tourism sector.

 Both at the permanent stand and at the Cuba destination launch event, organized in parallel with the Fair by the Ministry of Tourism and the Cuban Embassy, ​​the Cuban tourism product generated significant interest by combining the island's natural beauty with its culture, history, the hospitality of its people, and especially the premium tobacco industry, which is experiencing growing interest in the country.

The event was attended by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri; the Director of American Affairs at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jassim Hassan Al Asmakh; the CEO of Katara Hospitality, Nasser Matar Al Kuwari, owner and operator of a global hotel chain based in Qatar; and other high-ranking Qatari officials. Representatives from travel agencies, the specialized press, and airlines also participated, as well as Cuban tobacco enthusiasts.

With the participation of 60 countries and a record number of local and international visitors, the Qatar Travel Mart continues to solidify its position as a leading platform for global tourism development and cross-border collaboration, showcasing new destinations and travel offers each year in the areas of hospitality, destination marketing, medical tourism, technology, and cultural tourism.
