Canberra, 18 February 2024. From 16 to 18 February 2024, the National Multicultural Festival 2024 took place in Canberra, where Latin American embassies had a Pavilion to exhibit their culture. The Cuban Embassy was present at this event.
The Festival is a three-day flagship event that brings together more than 170 multicultural communities to share their culture, history, and heritage through food, art, song, and dance.
The Cuban embassy stand, decorated in the colors and traditional music of Cuba, received a significant number of people interested in the island's culture.
The members of the diplomatic mission explained to the visitors the process of making Cuban tobacco; they spoke to them about Cuban cities and heritage sites; and about general topics related to culture and tourism.
The participants also had the opportunity to enjoy a Cuban mojito-making workshop and a mojito tasting.
