Ekurhuleni, October 8, 2025.- The Central Executive Committee of the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) is meeting since this Monday at the Birchwood conference center to analyze the organization's progress over the last period.
The Cuban Embassy in South Africa was present at the event, with an important message of gratitude for the solidarity and support of the union and the South African people in general in the just battle being waged by the Cuban people against the US blockade. At the same time, the importance and relevance of the thinking of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, who always defended ties with the brotherly African peoples, was recognized.
The organization's report included a strong condemnation of the blockade and unilateral sanctions imposed against Cuba, while reiterating its solidarity with the Cuban, Palestinian, Venezuelan, and Sahrawi peoples.
