Cuba is present at Tehran Nowruz Festival

The Cuban Embassy’s staff visited Tehran Milad Tower, where the Nowruz Festival is taking place. Nowruz is a typical holiday that marks the beginning of the New Year, according to the Persian calendar.

Along with the exhibition of artistic and cultural manifestations of different regions of the Persian nation, a pavilion was allocated for hosting Iranian Friendship Associations with other Countries. Each association offers there to the audience an allegorical image of the country which represent and samples of handicrafts and local products of those foreign cultures.

The Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada was received at the stand of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association and exchanged with its President, Hadi Khansari, who is preparing a visit to the Island next week. He expects to develop an exchange program with Cuban authorities in Havana and contribute to the strengthening of ties of friendship between the two countries.

The Ambassador and the rest of his staff also visited Milad Tower installations and were received by the General Director of the enclave, Ali Darvishpour. Besides, they made a tour by other exhibition areas.

In exchange with the organizers of the event, the Ambassador highlighted the good level of relations between Cuba and Iran and predicted a great potential for cultural cooperation, with mediation of significant institutions of the Persian nation, such as the cultural complex associated to Milad Tower.
