Cardiff, 13 November. On behalf of the Embassy of Cuba in the United Kingdom, Orestes Martínez, Press Counsellor, and Soima Méndez, First Secretary for Economic and Trade Affairs, carried out a working visit to the city of Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
During their visit, the Cuban representatives presented a portfolio of business, foreign investment opportunities and Cuba’s export offering. The officials held meetings with the Welsh Chamber of Commerce, as well as with companies and institutions from the health, biotechnology, financial technology, and transport sectors, among others of mutual interest. These meetings enabled direct exchanges on the capacities of Cuban industry and potential areas of collaboration with economic actors in Wales.
The delegation highlighted Cuba’s advantages as a safe and attractive destination for foreign investment, as well as the modalities and facilities the country offers to international investors. They also presented concrete projects available in strategic sectors, with an emphasis on biotechnology, renewable energy sources, and professional services.
