Roseau, Dominica – September 30, 2025. – In a ceremony steeped in symbolism and brotherhood, Cuba reaffirmed in this capital its firm call for peace and total support for the sister nation of Venezuela. The ceremony was attended by the Cuban Ambassador, Miguel Fraga, and his counterpart from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, José Moros, who conveyed messages that highlight the historic alliance between the two Caribbean and Latin American nations.
During the meeting, Cuban collaborators in the areas of health and agriculture, as well as members of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Dominica, signed their support for the Revolutionary Government's Declaration “It is urgent to prevent military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” issued on September 18, 2025, which warns of the risks to regional peace and demands respect for Venezuelan sovereignty, currently threatened by the presence of U.S. warships in the region's waters.
Ambassador Miguel Fraga emphasized that “today we sign for peace,” in solidarity with the homeland of Bolívar—whom José Martí so admired—and Commander Hugo Chávez, whom the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, called “Cuba's best friend.” He also recalled that Latin America and the Caribbean were proclaimed a Zone of Peace at the Second CELAC Summit in 2014.
For his part, Ambassador José Moros expressed his gratitude for the support received and stressed that Cuba's solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution is an example of commitment to Latin American and Caribbean unity in the face of the challenges posed by foreign interference and the United States' policies of harassment.
The event in Roseau is part of a series of similar events held in Cuba and other parts of the world, reaffirming solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution and all just causes, while expressing a firm rejection of war and all forms of interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
