Helsinki, September 14, 2023.- The Cuban embassy in Finland hosted the meeting of the Ambassadors of the Latin American and Caribbean Group residing in Helsinki, with the Director of Latin America and the Caribbean at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Lasse Keisalo.
Present at the exchange were the distinguished Heads of Missions of Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Cuba, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, who discussed topics of political interest for the bilateral agenda between Latin America and Finland.
At the meeting, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, highlighted the beginning of the G77+China Summit that will take place this September 15 and 16 in Havana, and to which the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, and high authorities from other multilateral organizations, as well as leaders of this extensive group made up of countries from the Global South.
Cuban diplomat later thanked the support received from the countries present, in the permanent denunciation against the United States embargo against the Island.
Counselor Pilvi Taipale, specialist in the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region at the Finnish Foreign Ministry, was also present at this meeting.
