Cuba signs International Coffee Agreement 2022

London, 12 September. The Cuban Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Coffee Organisation (ICO), Ismara Vargas Walter, signed the International Coffee Agreement 2022 on behalf of Cuba, during the 138th session of the International Coffee Council, held at this venue.

Signing of the Agreement, Cuba joins the objective of strengthening the world coffee sector and promoting its sustainable development in economic, social and environmental aspects. It also reinforces the country's commitment to the organisation, of which it has been a member since its foundation in 1963, as well as to the global coffee dialogue.  In more than 60 years of membership in the ICO as an exporting country, Cuba has benefited from cooperation actions developed within the organisation, as well as from the knowledge of good practices to improve and promote the coffee value chain.
