The National Network in Solidarity with Cuba (NNOC), a coalition that today includes more than 50 organizations in favor of lifting the U.S. blockade, will be part of the 16th International May 1st Brigade.
As NNOC announced on Twitter, every year they work with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) to lead the U.S. delegation in this solidarity group.
The brigades "are an important part of our struggle against the illegal and inhumane U.S. blockade of more than 60 years" against the island, he said in his message.
According to ICAP's call, as is now traditional, the brigadistas will have the opportunity to witness the historic popular parade of International Workers' Day in Havana's Revolution Square.
They will also attend the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba; visit places of historical, economic, cultural and social interest; carry out volunteer work and exchange with representatives of different social organizations, among other activities.
During their stay in the largest of the Antilles, from April 23 to May 7, friends of Cuba will carry out a program of activities that, in addition to the capital, includes the western province of Artemisa and the central provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus.
NNOC also strives to remove Cuba from the list of "State Sponsors of Terrorism", maintained by President Joe Biden, and calls for an end to Washington's hostility against the Caribbean nation.
