Cuba strengthens business ties at the South African Manufacturing Indaba.

Sandton, 14 July 2026. —The Cuban Embassy in South Africa participated in the Manufacturing Indaba 2026, held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 14 and 15 July, one of the leading forums for manufacturers, investors, public officials and stakeholders in the industrial sector in Africa.

As part of the event, the Cuban mission presented its traditional ‘Cuba Corner’, a space designed to promote Cuba’s potential for establishing business partnerships with South African entities and to foster opportunities for economic and trade cooperation. The exchange enabled visitors and industry representatives to gain an insight into the country’s capabilities in areas of interest relating to production and innovation.

The Manufacturing Indaba 2026 took place against a backdrop of an agenda focused on strengthening African industrialization, competitiveness, productive resilience and the creation of new business opportunities within regional and international value chains.
