Cuba-SVG cooperation project on sustainable development in progress.

Kingstown, 16 September 2024. - A bilateral cooperation project between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the area of sustainable development and environmental conservation was recently launched in this country, with the participation of Cuban and Vincentian experts.

The project, carried out by the company Gamma of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba (CITMA) and the Department of Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is directly associated with the waste water treatment from different Vincentian institutions and in this first phase includes working meetings, visits and on-site evaluation of the areas of the Kingstown Fish Market (St. George Parish); the Belle Isle Correctional Facility (St. Patrick’s Parish) and three hotels of Villa community (St. George’s Parish), and presentation of the final report with practical recommendations.

Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are maintaining an excellent pace in the area of bilateral cooperation, which is increasingly diverse and comprehensive. (Embassy of Cuba to St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
