The Cuban Alumni Association in South Africa in Solidarity with the Island

Pretoria, December 26, 2024.- The Cuban Alumni Association in South Africa has issued a statement of solidarity with the Cuban people following the successful march held last Friday, December 20, demanding an end to the genocidal blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

The declaration calls on the U.S. government and the future occupant of the White House to lift, once and for all, the sanctions that have weighed on the Cuban people for more than 60 years. At the same time, it ratifies the support given to Cuba and its people by thousands of South Africans who have studied and worked in the Caribbean nation.
