Tehran, April 6, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Jorge Lefebre Nicolás held a friendly exchange with young student leaders of the Amir Kabir University of Technology, who are coordinating in Tehran a student movement of solidarity with various just causes, such as the defense of Palestine and the demand for the cessation of aggression against Lebanon and Syria, as well as condemnation of the policy of unilateral sanctions of the United States on other nations like Cuba.
Lefebre Nicolás thanked the demonstrations of solidarity with the island, and explained Cuba's historical position in support of dissimilar international causes, as well as expressed the rejection of the Cuban government and people to the continuous threats of the U.S. against Iran. For their part, the young students thanked the exchange, which allowed them to gain greater knowledge about the realities of young Cubans, their resilience in the face of unjust U.S. sanctions, and their important role in the defense of independence and national sovereignty.
