The Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero attended today the special screening of the documentary film entitled "Roll Call of the Missing", by director Constantinos Patsalides and writer/producer George Avraam about the missing persons of Cyprus. The screening took place at the EU House in Nicosia.
The production of this documentary was initiated by the Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Political Committee for the Mediterranean, Mr. Costas Mavrides and financially supported by the S&D political group in the European Parliament, with the aim to particularly promote the work of the European Parliament on the missing persons in Cyprus, a crucial humanitarian issue, as well as to underline the urgent need to continue the efforts and accelerate the process to determine their fate.
Cuban Ambassador Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero had the opportunity to greet MEP Costas Mavrides, whom he congratulated for his initiative (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
