Sydney, 7 February 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia paid an official visit to the Governor of New South Wales, H.E Margaret Beazley AC KC.
During the meeting, the diplomat thanked for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings on behalf of the Cuban authorities.
During the meeting, they were able to discuss the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Cuba and Australia and the history and culture of both countries.
The occasion was also an opportunity to discuss other aspects of interest for the development of bilateral relations in the field of education. The Cuban ambassador also referred to Cuban cooperation in the field of education with the "Yo si puedo" (Yes I can) method, which constitutes a reference in the bilateral relationship.
For her part, the Governor praised the training of doctors from different countries in Cuba, celebrated the fact of reaching the 35th anniversary of bilateral relations, and thanked the Cuban diplomat for her visit.
