Cuban Ambassador congratulates high Iranian authorities on their National Day

Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada participated in the official ceremony celebrated on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the triumph of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, which took place at the Velenjak Conference Hall in Tehran, headed by President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

In the ceremony, attended by 180 Heads of Mission and diplomats accredited to the Persian nation, Minister Zarif took the floor, followed by the dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Salah Al-Zawawi.

Afterwards, Iranian President delivered a speech and said –between others ideas- that Iran has shown it has no intention to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs and its military development is solely for defense purposes.

To conclude the ceremony, the ambassadors passed by order of precedence to greet and congratulate President Rouhani and Minister Zarif. In his turn, the Ambassador of Cuba had the opportunity to express, on behalf of the people and government of the Island, warm congratulations on the new anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

On the occasion of this significant celebration, the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, sent congratulatory messages to their Iranian counterparts in recent days.
