Nicosia, Cyprus, December 22, 2025. Cuba’s ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, attended an event held in the Cypriot capital on Thursday, December 21, to mark Georgia’s Independence Day. At the ceremony, he was welcomed by the chargé d’affaires of the Georgian embassy in Nicosia, Her Excellency Ms. Marine Narchemashvili, and her diplomatic team.
Her Excellency Vasiliki Kassianidou, Cyprus’s Deputy Minister of Culture, delivered a welcome address on behalf of her government to mark Georgia’s National Day, in which she conveyed Cyprus’s official greetings, highlighted the positive bilateral relations between Georgia and the Mediterranean nation, and reiterated the congratulations shared by the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Nicosia who were present at the event.
Ambassador Pino Martínez congratulated the head of the sister country’s mission and her team, thanking them for attending the ceremony on the occasion of their National Day, and reiterated the commitment to continue promoting the positive bilateral relations between Georgia and Cuba.
