Nicosia, Cyprus The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Cyprus, Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, received on the morning of February 24, 2025, in a cordial meeting at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nikolay Zhumakanov.
During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat warmly welcomed his Kazakh counterpart, and the two discussed at length the strong historical relations between the two nations. The Cuban Ambassador updated on the effects of the blockade on the Cuban economy and people, as well as other hostile measures against Cuba. The ambassadors exchanged perspectives on the current international and regional situation.
The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual respect, laid the groundwork for future exchanges. This visit reaffirms the shared interest in further developing the ties of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Kazakhstan (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
