Pretoria, September 28th, 2019.- Cuban Ambassador exchanged with Blade Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of South Africa.
The Ambassador of Cuba in South Africa, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, held a productive working meeting with Bonginkosi Emmanuel "Blade" Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of South Africa, who is also the Secretary General of the South African Communist Party.
The parties evaluated plans to continue increasing cooperation relations between Cuba and South Africa in the field of Higher Education, in particular by strengthening academic exchanges between universities in both countries.
Both parties agreed on the importance of effective exchange between Cuba and South Africa in the fields of Science and Technology, using scientific results for the benefit of both peoples.
The Ambassador of the Island transferred the gratitude of the Cuban people to the South African Communist Party, for his recent energetic declaration of rejection of the blockade policy imposed by the United States government against Cuba and for the permanent signs of solidarity with Cuba.
The meeting was also conducive to highlight the excellent relations that exist between the Communist Party of Cuba and its counterpart in South Africa.
