Cuban Ambassador exchanges with poet Juan Garrido

Canberra 17 February 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia exchanged today with the poet Juan Garrido who has been part of the Cuba solidarity movement in Australia for many years.

The diplomat thanked Garrido for his longstanding work and his love for the people of Cuba.

They discussed, among other topics, the possibilities of continuing to advance the work of promoting Cuban poetry in Australia, as well as the activities in the El Romero Community and other matters of interest.

From the Embassy we greet Juan Garrido who will make a presentation of his poetic work in Canberra this evening and we share images of the meeting at the diplomatic headquarters with the Head of Mission.
